small wheeled business case

I'm looking for a new small, wheeled mobile office bag. I used the previous version of this Travelpro 18" business rollaboard for years: http://www.ebags.com/product/travelp...uctid=10155675 It died and is beyond repair, so I bought a new one. However, it's not made of the same material, and this one frayed in two places during the first flight. I returned it.

I found a Samsonite Pro3 wheeled briefcase on sale (http://www.ebags.com/product/samsoni...uctid=10119947). I like it a lot, but it's much deeper than the advertised 7"--more like 11" with outside pockets empty, making it too deep to go into some non-RJ bins unless I take the laptop out of the outer pocket.

I looked at the Travelpro 20" businessplus rollaboards, but they are too heavy. By the time I pack my laptop, a bunch of paperwork, sometimes a travel printer, and other stuff, I'd never get it in the overhead bin. I'm not looking for a one-bag carry-on. I use this only for all the office stuff I have to take, not for packing clothes too.

My needs:
*Top-loading outside pocket large enough to easily slip my laptop in and out. Doesn't need to be padded since I keep my laptop in a neoprene sleeve.
*Organizer pockets for all the little stuff I carry.
*Small outside pocket for quart liquids bag.
*Less than 8 pounds.
*16-19" high. (
*Preferably ballistic nylon.
*Handle that goes inside the bag.

What I don't want:
*4 wheels/spinner wheels.
*Wheeled briefcase--too wide to roll down the aisle in economy.
*High price. Tumi, B&R, etc., are out of my price range.

I'm not sure the bag I want exists, but looking for suggestions if you have any.

Not many organiser pockets - though you may be better served with small packing cubes.

Lots of organisation, there's a video that describes the bag well. But laptop compartment options are in the back or middle not the front pocket and all that organisation takes it over 9 pounds.

Thanks, but this style won't work. I didn't know ebags makes its own line, though.

Unfortunately, it's 2 pounds heavier than what I'm using, which is a deal breaker. At that weight, I might as well get a Travelpro 20" business case with a front pocket for the laptop and a better fabric. Thanks for letting me know about the ebags line.

Reporting back for anyone who finds this thread.

After hours of researching online and visiting luggage stores, I looked again at Travelpro's online outlet, hoping to find the old 18" business rollaboard. No luck, but the Flight Crew 4 version was there for less money. Same size, couple of ounces heavier, lacks organization pockets. But the fabric is ballistic nylon (superior to the other bag), the construction is much better, it has a side handle that other bag doesn't have, and there's a pocket in the main compartment to hold most of what I put in the organization pockets. Overall, it's a great bag for my needs.
