Lately I've been reading a bit on this forum about one baggin it and I really liked Red oxx, bihn, etc. I wasn't sure about the prices. I then found the Patagonia MLC and really liked it but again was holding off for some reason. Well today noticed the price on seaweed color only and was very excited ^
edited: trying to remove the dang wink, I guess I put it there by mistake

That's a good deal for this bag.

Rebate, points, or miles opportunities
Get a cash rebate or points/miles through some of the "malls"

For example, four points/$ at the Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall.

That is a very nice bag! I ordered the MLC Wheelie in Seaweed on sale for $114. It also looks like a great carry-on wheelie but it might be too small. I figured since Patagonia ships for free it was worth ordering. If I don't find it useful it can always be retured to a store.

I am a big fan of my Patagonia MLC from 2006. It has been with me on trips to Europe and multiple trips to Asia and around North America. I think they've added some nicer features, like better straps in the new versions. This version is, however, smaller than the one older versions.

I suppose the colour could be worse. This seaweed colour almost looks like army olive drab.
I thought of opting for the MLC before getting a B&R carry-on but couldn't find a sale so this is tempting.

I'll get to test it out on Monday after I receive for 4 days down in South Beach. I don't know whats more exciting Miami or the bag.

I admit I was tempted by this one. I have the Osprey Porter, but this one looked good too.
But I really wish I'd caught the MLC Wheelie sale a few months ago (for a few $$ more). There are so many times that I still prefer a wheelie. The downside for any 'backpack' style case out there is the lack of a proper hipbelt. It's understandable, but it means the weight is on my shoulders (not good) instead of on my hips (good).
