Looking for a tiny shoulder bag
I would like a shoulder bag which can accomodate a 265mm × 25mm × 145mm netbook sleeve and a few other, also small assorted items. For the metrically impaired
10.5 inches x 5.7 inches x 1inches but because of the other items, let it be a little bit bigger, say 2 inches. It seems to be very hard to find a similarly sized bag. I would especially love something vertical, this almost cries for that

Look at Waterfield Designs (sfbags.com). They make laptop sleeves to fit most netbooks and also make a "piggyback" that clips on for other things (charger, etc). With this setup:
1) it's easy to put everything in a larger bag when you're traveling
2) it's a tidy package for general use (sleeve + piggyback)
3) use the strap with the piggyback solo for a shoulder bag
If you want to put the sleeve in something, their VertiGo might do the trick as a vertical bag.

Not sure if you're a man or a woman, but I have this in a slightly larger size which is more than enough for an ipad.

Look at www.tombihn.com they have bags like that and vertical, too. Small cafe bag comes to mind.

I'd also look at incase and brookhaven bags.

I have this one by Tumi but does not fit a 10" netbook so I've been waiting for the release of this new one that will fit but not yet available in leather.

I have this messenger bag by Mountainsmith, and I love it.
At 11.75 inches x 8.5 inches x 4 inches, it meets your size specs fairly well. The look is definitely more on the rugged side, so if you are looking for a professional bag, it might not fit the bill.

The sleeve is a Zeroshock. Would not put a fragile laptop (ie: not Thinkpad T or a Panasonic) in anything else. So the sleeve is a given. Note that this is not a 10" netbook, this is a Vaio P which is just weird size wise.
Small cafe bag: 7.5" x 11" x 3" -- that comes very, very close! If it'd be even narrower (6 instead of 7.5) it'd be perfect. But then this is a Tom Bhin bag which is
And so hey you guys gave me an idea on what to search for, this pouch http://www.tacticalgear.net/pd-bds-t...3-gp-pouch.cfm is indeed 11x6x3. Yay. I have a shoulder strap from my BB107 bag somewhere, so I presume this is it unless someone screams at me not to buy stuff like this for whatever reason.
The Vertigo is even bigger and as for the Tumi, while I happen to be the happy owner of a 20" Continental Alpha, I must say that I am not ready to buy another Tumi bag for a long time, maybe ever, it hurts my poor wallet too much.

Saw the "Targus Unofficial" netbook bag at our local Walmart (Canada) for $19.99. Vertical and has a small outside pocket for mouse or charger cord.
I have this bag from Mountain Equipment Co-op (also Canada) $19.00 and my 11.6" netbook fits perfectly (while in it's neoprene sleeve) into the slip compartment at the back of the bag, then all my other electronics (digital camera, power cords, etc) go into the main compartment.
