747-8's inaugural PEK-JFK flight landing - triple 7's have been flying this route in the past year when the older 747's were discontinued ... Nothing like riding atop with 4 engines roaring as it stream down the runway for the takeoff & unmistakable.
Another one came in this afternoon & will be taking off shortly (CA 981 & CA 982)

Here's a photo of an A388's engine (and a human for comparison's sake) I took at Hong Kong. I'm always amazed by the size of modern aircraft.

Sorry for the 'hijack' but am at PAE and was able to witness the unveiling of LH's 'YR', their latest 747-8i. A short video of the push back in addition to photos.

FYI that is not Air Force One (usually a VC-25A) but an E-4B Advanced Airborne Command Post, otherwise known as the "Doomsday Plane"
When the President is in Hawaii it usually comes along for support. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_E-4#Recent_history

Well if we're going to get really technical, Air Force One is any Air Force plane the President is on. If the Cessna 172 was Navy, it would be Navy One.

Looks like that might actually be the exact plane based on the registration:
9Y-JMC Air Jamaica Boeing 737-8Q8(WL)
or
9Y-JME Air Jamaica Boeing 737-86J(WL)
