Hi,
Looks more like sunrise to me as the photos are facing south down the strip and the sun is rising from the left. The sun would set to the right behind the mountain ranges in the distance. In late afternoon I have been in the Fashiom show mall with the setting sun reflecting off the strip side of Wynn/Encore
Regards

Hi
I know the feeling. For the first couple of days after arriving from the uk I usually wake up around 6am also and occasionally see the sunrise depending on ny room location.

Hmm, when did you take that photo, @allset2travel ?
I've attached a *hitty photo from my stay at that hotel in 2005 (a bad clue is the same monorail station that appears in both of our photos).

That monorail station was a zoo. No elevator or escalator, I recall. Fortunately it was a short walk to the hotel.

That photo was captured in 2013. In those day, AA still had RTW awards allowing up to 16 flights on one PNR (with a certain mileage cap, I recall). I was on a RTW itinerary that brought me to KUL from LHR on MH's A388 in J cabin. I remember that flight well. Extremely good experience.

Dubai Rove Hotel Expo 2020 Rm 726
Hi,
Sideways view of Alwasl plaza from Rove hotel expo 2020 rm 726 feb 2022. You could hear the music from the plaza and view was nice but for the full effect you needed to be under the plaza.
Daytime view of Alwasl plaza
Morning View towards the Garden in the Sky and the Korea Pavillion at Expo 2020 from the room balcony
Hotel was very good ( think Hilton Garden inn standard) with a roof top pool ( and gym also) and a good breakfast buffet (inc pancakes made to order). Saved so much commuting time compared to being in downtown dubai. You did pay a bit for the location but there were zoom convenience stores around expo2020 which were very reasonably priced
Regards

From the Frankfurt Marriott
First time I've travelled anywhere in 2 years thanks to the late unpleasantness, and the Frankfurt Marriott didn't disappoint.
Early morning at dawn from my room on the 34th floor.
