Is this Good or Bad: Your Opinion of the View from My Hotel Room
So there's two threads in this Forum for the goodness ([Was TPF Contest] - "View from Your Hotel Room") or badness (Crappy Views from My Hotel Room) of hotel room views.
However, there's no thread when the view is, well, questionable. (And I did look for one/some via search.)
This is that thread that basically asks: What do you think?
So here's a view or three that I'm asking, is this a good view or a bad view?
One example: Hampton Inn Fort Worth West I-30:
At night - not much to see:
Day: Well, it's not another hotel nor an industrial view but it turns out to be a park. As well as the hotel's dumpster area as well as the construction materials being collected for its upcoming remodel.
So - is this a good view or a bad view?

Hi,
Its not great, its not bad its ... meh ( We should have ameh views from a hotel room thread )
Whilst views are very subjective, these are not the breathtaking city views ie NYC, Tokyo etc but they are neither the wall or ac unit or the otherside of the hotel or office buildings.
It does have some greenery and shows the immediate area around the hotel so should be posted and would go for the good view ( YMMV)
Regards

Well, I can handle meh.
Here's room views from two recent stays I didn't know where to post. Both include that hotel's pool.
1. Fairfield Inn ABQ
Night: Cool I see the pool. And a bit of tree(s).
Day: Pool still there but now we have the pasty dude, parking lot, adjacent street and roof tops of adjacent apartments/condos. And more trees. Perhaps there's a city/urban view but trees get in the way.
2. Courtyard Carlsbad
Day (early AM) only:
Wide shot shows the room had an enclosed balcony overlooking the pool, back parking, walking path behind, small arroyo/hill, road way and office/industrial buildings:
Tried shooting through the screen door - not terribly effective but we have the silhouette of an AM walker and her dog:
No screen, dog walker further along and the palm trees are the primary elements in the frame:
Go vertical:
Still pretty meh.
Anyway, opinions/comments on the views? Maybe I gotta get me away from Marriott's limited service properties and aspire to luxury hotels...
