But I would argue that it's a "crappy view"... I think it's a nice view.
OK, perhaps I should have posted a day time photo:

Well, if it will make you feel better, there is a roof of a maintenance shed visible at the bottom left of the daytime photo. I framed the shot to keep the maintenance yard, immediately to the right of the shed, out of the picture.

The view from my room at the Courtyard in downtown San Francisco (SOMA area) in 2018:

BTW, I paid over $700/night for this hotel. Even as a Lifetime Titanium member that bought me a low floor room with no view.

Not figuratively but literally crappy view at the Protea Hotel at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. It was a platinum upgrade.

I don't have a picture from a Doubletree in Augusta GA because the room had NO window.
Feeling little claustrophobic, I changed rooms to get a room with a window, but the view was basically of a wall.

King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens. 2017
This was the "special room" that a Starwood employee booked for me, which cost more than what I could have booked it for on any website. My bad.

And, for those of you that haven't been to Israel, you DON'T complain and ask for a better room. That... would be a mistake.
I haven't traveled to Israel but plan to in the next couple years...Covid willing. Please tell me why you don't complain? I like blending in when I travel, not causing international incidents lol.

Went to see the Terracotta Army just before Covid
