I did not get a picture of it, but was recently at the AC hotel in Tallahassee. They made a very big deal of providing me with an upgraded room with a view. Got the room and it was a spectacular view of a construction site. Nothing beyond that. Not sure why they thought it was a great view.

Doubletree Edinburgh Airport April 2023

Hi,

Same room but construction is progressing ( it is just a 1 night stay, no noise so view does not matter)

Rm 148 Doubletree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport

Regards

St. Regis Bangkok

The suite might be Grand Metropolitan, but the view is...urban, I guess! Note that this is not zoomed in.

New York Menswear? That street is way too clean to be 8th Avenue

In fairness, there was a 2nd window with a *slightly* better view (but only slightly...)

Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay

As much as I love staying here, there’s a reason why the view out of this particular north-facing window is obscured by frosted glass.

Room 2130, AC Bella Sky Copenhagen:

No view? Guess in a room with 5 separate windows, 1 can be a complete dud with some external residue that covers the whole pane.

Here's the same window and adjacent window:

So there is a view - but we couldn't see in that direction.

Oh, we were going to stay there last summer until timing changed our plans out of Copenhagen. Missed that spectacular view!

AC Hotel in New Orleans. Maybe it’s a good thing the window is encrusted in dirt.

Moved hotels (not because of the view) New hotel view includes bus station, Amtrak station and post office vehicle parking lot. What an upgrade!

Looking over the rooftop of a gym building. Gross!
OTH, front desk was quick to acknowledge Elite status, and granted me free parking!
