Should I buy new Canon DSLR?

Hi all,

Can I buy a new Canon DSLR camera? Which one is the cheapest price? Can I go on eBay or Best Buy? Can I have a longer zoom 500mm or 1600mm?

Any suggestions?

Not sure what you are trying to ask.

FWIW - as soon as you have the money, or credit, you can buy it. I am neither your father nor mother.

Cheapest does not usually equate to new or performance.

Definitely BBY. Easier to return and guarantee minimal issues.

Not an expert of DSLR. But I believe you can change your lens to do what you want.

Of course you can buy a new Canon DSLR!
For prices, you can check online. B&H link below:

Curious about your looking for the cheaper prices and longer zoom? Can you elaborate on your need?

What are you going to do with a 1600mm lens? Quality lenses extend to about 400mm, unless you want to spend a large chunk of money. Anything above that is going to be manually operated, very high aperture, mirror lens that will take lousy photos.

Yes, you can buy a new Canon DSLR Camera

No, you cannot buy a 1600mm Canon mount lens. They don't make one in that focal length.

You could, however, buy a $10,000 800mm Canon lens and it looks like this.

Or a $30,000 Sigma zoom that looks like this, and fits your parameters at 200-500mm

Absolutely recommend looking at B&H or KEH for used cameras / prices.

And I don't know what I would do with the lens below, but I know I want it!

I wanted to improve my odds at birds in flight shooting and am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Sony 200-600. Bargain is not quite fitting but for under $2K it is excellent.

Hi all, I got my new Canon camera. From my friends who work for Miami Airport and he gave me a birthday gift for me. I need your help. I need you to find a good lens. 70-400mm or 100-800mm? So please posts a link from eBay. So I can buy it.

Have a look at the 100-400 Canon IS II USM lens, and add a 1.4 converter to it. The 100-400 witout the converter is a very good birds in flight lens.
