Question Dog transit through Doha - help!

I'm taking a dog from LAX through Doha (3 hour layover) and then onto Bangkok. I have ALL the necessary papers for Thailand and it sounds like I need import papers for Doha? Also Qatar rabies is 30 days out and Thailand is only 21 (and my dog will be at 24 days for rabies, although she also has a 3 year that was given just last May but I guess not recognized so I had another given) I'm freaking out that this somehow might hold her up in Doha. Does ANYONE have any advice? I did email a vet in Doha and was told I needed NO papers for transit through Doha so now I'm really confused. Thanks in advance!

You indeed do not need any paperwork for merely transiting through DOH as the animal technically will not enter the country. However, you will not have access to the animal during the layover. QR will cater to her in an animal transit facility, where she will be taken out of the crate, given food and water and an opportunity to relieve herself (this partially explains the high prices they charge for AVIH animals).
BTW, this is just about the least favorable routing one could do with an animal. She'll be in her crate for about 18 hours from check-in at LAX until arrival in the DOH animal centre - I`d have gone transpacific.
