Arrival with dog at CDG

Does anybody have any advice about arriving with a dog at CDG? I will be taking my dog with me to France for the first time this summer. I've found some good resources with tips about where to take her out to pee etc., but I'm wondering how long it will take from landing to get through customs and out of the arrivals terminal.

We will be picking up the TGV train at CDG to our final destination, and I'm trying to figure out how much time to leave between scheduled flight arrival and train departure. I've got all the paperwork requirements worked out, but are there additional formalities to complete in addition to the usual passport control for human passengers? How long should I expect it to take to get through customs?

Thanks!

I flew into CDG with 2 dogs (as checked baggage) several years ago. We were bused from the plane to the terminal and by the time we reached baggage reclaim the dogs were already there and waiting in their crates on trolleys for us. We picked up our baggage and whilst thinking about the dogs and checking that they were ok we were in the main terminal before I even realised that we had passed through customs at some point. No one asked to see the dogs' paperwork at any stage. Once in the main terminal we took the dogs out of their crates and I looked for somewhere to take the dogs to pee but other than place where buses passed through I couldn't see anywhere and neither of the dogs would pee in the road outside. Once back in the terminal the sheltie decided she couldn't hold herself any longer (they had been in crates for around 15 hours by then) and peed in the middle of the terminal. Luckily we were right outside the toilets so I was able to dash in an grab copious amounts of paper towels to clean it up. That was the most memorable thing about the airport experience to be honest . Sorry I can't be of more help and I don't know exactly how long it took other than 'not long' although we're EU passport holders so we didn't have immigration to deal with or anything. The whole experience was unmemorable but for the right reasons in that there was no hassle and no delay.

Ditto. Never had anyone in France look at the dog's paperwork.
