Hotel Pets

Due to popular request: this is Mr Boom Chop (the white king buffalo) at my favourite hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi. Do you have any other "friends" at hotels?

Yes indeed. It would be interesting turning up at the airport with a king buffalo in tow.

Basil and Sybil are the goldfish at the Sydney Observatory. They live at reception, but you are able to take them to your room if you are missing your pets at home.

I don't suppose it really rates as a luxury hotel in the sense of the Luxury Hotels forum on FT TrophyCollector?

Thanks Kage and QF Lad for keeping this thread going.

I rarely check other forums than FT "Luxury Hotels" - and certainly not "Travelling with Pets". (My beloved Viszla dog stays home with TrophyWomans family.)

Although I have not been to the Giraffe Manor, I assume it is not total luxury, QF Lad.

Hillside Su Hotel (pretty close to luxury!) in Antalya had a similar idea

Several Fairmonts have resident dogs.

The Sheraton Krabi had/has an elephant named Ra Ra.
