Telegraph: "Virgin: the world's best passenger complaint letter?"

Virgin: the world's best passenger complaint letter?
I love the Virgin brand, I really do which is why I continue to use it despite a series of unfortunate incidents over the last few years. This latest incident takes the biscuit.

Ironically, by the end of the flight I would have gladly paid over a thousand rupees for a single biscuit following the culinary journey of hell I was subjected to at thehands of your corporation.

Look at this Richard. Just look at it: [see image 1, above].

I imagine the same questions are racing through your brilliant mind as were racing through mine on that fateful day. What is this? Why have I been given it? What have I done to deserve this? And, which one is the starter, which one is the desert?

This was so funny, I couldn't help laughing out loud and waking up my wife while reading it last night. I laughed out loud again when I read it a second time. Simply tremendous. This goes in the hall of fame right alongside the "stink shield" letter.

^^^

peace,
~Ben~

A true masterpiece. With the publicity it is receiving, I am certain Sir Richard will offer more than a simple telephone apology.

I kept hearing John Cleese's voice as I read it. It sounded like a Monty Python bit.

Call me cynical, but this "complaint letter" has all the hallmarks of a Richard Branson marketing scam.

This is especially true when it was revealed the "author" is a marketing professional.

Branson is known for trickery. This is clearly more of the same.

Thumbs up

For what it is worth, I saw this mentioned in the email newsletter. Had I been the recipient of it in an email chain, I never would have read it, as I routinely dispose of such things.

Real or not, it brought a very badly needed belly laugh into what was a most depressing day.

Not really very English, as the letter was written by an Indian national traveling from Mumbai to Heathrow...
