Passengers evacuated at Dallas-Fort Worth airport

A security breach Saturday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport prompted officials to evacuate three terminals and halt dozens of flights, a spokesman with the Federal Aviation Administration said.

At 8:15 p.m. someone opened a fire exit at Terminal C, allowing a second person to enter the terminal from a secured area, said FAA spokesman Roland Herwig.

The FAA cleared Terminals A, B and C and put a ground stop in place for arriving and departing flights. At the time of the breach, 13 flights were inbound and 37 were outbound, Herwig said.
