It will be nice to have seamless service to Madrid again. United discontinued IAD-MAD about 3 (?) years ago.

Has anyone flown Spanair to comment on their quality?

not on long-haules - but for short hops mailand-Spain to Baleares (Palma de Mallorca), where my mother in law lives.

Not better and not worse than IBERIA.

They "claim" to be "well known" for their fine quality service! I've never taken them personally. They are fast gowing in any case.
