Daily Mail: The best airport lounges in the world named in prestigious awards
Layover spot in Heathrow ranked No1 (but all the winners are so luxurious guests might not want to board their flights)
• Over 60,000 members of a lounge access club voted for world's best lounges
• Plaza Premium lounge at London Heathrow, Terminal 2, wins overall accolade
• The Club, San Jose CA Mineta International, takes the title for North America

When you’ve got access to the best airport lounges in the world, travelling becomes a pleasure.
...THE WORLD'S BEST AIRPORT LOUNGES
Global Winner: Plaza Premium Lounge, London Heathrow
Europe Winner: Plaza Premium Lounge, London Heathrow
Highly Commended: Almost@Home, Helsinki Vantaa

The SJC lounge is my clear favorite here: with all the risqué décor that comprises beige walls and beige carpeting courageously juxtaposed with beige furniture and innovative break-through design featuring suspended ceiling tiles straight from the 1980s, the main hall has all the originality of a heavily-discounted chain business hotel well past its glory days, while the adjacent business area exudes the charm of a dentist's waiting room, and its ensuing tranquility could only be perfected further with educational posters on the benefits of regular and thorough flossing.
Looking at the photos, one can almost smell the instant coffee as it is being drank from disposable plastic cups that the valued visitors get to keep. And all this without even bringing up the "yellow accent chairs," the true icing on the cake. None of this finesse has ever been attempted before. Clearly unrivaled in North America.
But seriously, these are supposed to be the best lounges? Are they even the best PP-accessible lounges?
