Flying can be 'hell' for tall passengers

Hey you tall people ... that's new trick to move to the front of the plane

... he was able to lock himself in the lavatory for a long time before anyone became concerned, Kwatek said. When a flight attendant finally demanded to know what was going on, he explained his plight and she moved him to first class.

He shouldn't have to fly economy if he'd just sign for a basketball team.

I'm tall and no one has ever felt that bad for me. I guess I need to be 6' 11" tall.

If you're between 6'5 to 6'11, free upgrade to BUS
6'11 and above, free upgrade to F

A have a friend who's gotten some upgrades for being tall. He's 6'4", but he always looks for the shortest gate agent he can find and tells her that coach is so cramped for him since he's 6'9".

Doesn't work if there's anybody tall in the vicinity to call his bluff.

I would've thought the shortest gate agent would retaliate of being short to the general tall people by assigning them to the shortest pitch seats.

At 6'5" I've never gotten a complimentary bump. This sounds like an interesting strategy to save one's knees...

I've volunteered to move a couple of times to help out a tall person who is obviously in distress. I am of average height and build so while I have a philosophical problem with the fact that seats are too narrow and don't have enough legroom, I can still fit in anywhere.
