New Blue Chip Rewards Program

I received in the mail today a letter describing the new Blue Chip Rewards program.

Rent 3 days, get 3 credits.

16 credits = one free day.

Until September 30, 2004, one can earn double Blue Chip rewards credits when booking at www.thrifty.com on-line.

To participate, one must access ones Blue Chip profile at www.thrifty.com and sign up.

Note that the Blue Chip Rewards is an ALTERNATIVE to earning hotel or airline points (not additional to...).

Further Information Pertaining to Blue Chip Rewards

You receive one rental credit for every day you rent a car:
For example, rent 2 days, get 2 credits; rent 22 days, get 22 credits; and so on...

When you reach 16 credits, Thrifty will send you a Rewards certificate redeemable for a free day. One receives a Rewards certificate redeemable for a free day for every 16 days one pays for car rentals.

One may use the Rewards certificate redeemable for a free day on compact, intermediate and full-size cars, as well as minivans.

Until September 30, 2004, you can earn double credits, meaning that when you reach 8 credits, Thrifty will send you a Rewards certificate redeemable for a free day. One receives a Rewards certificate redeemable for a free day for every 8 days one pays for car rentals until September 30, 2004.

You can sign up for free either on-line at www.bluechip.thrifty.com or you can call Thrifty Car Rental at 1-888-400-8877. You cannot earn credits if you do not sign up for Blue Chip Rewards, even if you are already a Blue Chip member.

Hopefully, Fletch!, this information answers all of your questions, as I have no further information available to me.

Still not sure if it's for me

I do a lot of 1-2 day rentals. For this, it may be that National's program is better.
