Advice from a Local
Hi, I will be in Bangkok tonight, and notice on the news reports that this weekend there will be a demo outside NACC and the Premier office. I would appreciate notice of roughly the area these places are in so I can avoid them. My business is in New Road near the riverside Sheraton and up near the Platinum centre near the Watergate hotel otherwiswe we will be around the Chitlom locale. Every time I go to BKK there's a demo, I seem to be like a red flag to a bull
(joke) regards bkkrop
PS meant to type "advice from a local " but hit the send button instead BTW is it raining?

It was drizzling a bit when I got of the BTS an hour ago but by the time I made it down to the road level it was not raining.

But again this doesn't mean that the demonstrators will abide by the rules and limit their protest activities to that area.

Kalboz is correct, most of the time they stick to the Dusit area (Government House, Thannon Pitsanulok?). However, with the PAD mixing things up at Khao Prah Vihan, and the ensuing mobility of the red shirts, who knows what will transpire.

There were some trucks of red shirts passing through Asoke at around 1AM. Nothing special, just some cheers from people on the sidewalk.
