Swimmingpools in BKK
Any recommendations for hotels in BKK with big swimmingpool(s) and sundeck with sun atleast until 3 pm? Have tried Le Bua before, great hotell except for the sun conditions.
Also looking for a nice hotel in Hua Hin. Suggestions? Is there any other ”beach-towns” witthin 3 hours by car from BKK?

Hi Chriscross, what you ask for is not easy, the Sheraton on the river is OK as is the Watergate, Hyatt and Pathuwan Princess. Intercontenental's on the roof, so should be perfect, and I can't recall the Shangrila. Sounds crazy but it's one of the reasons I go off hotels, I come back mid afternoon to relax/swim/sun and hotels like SGS, Weston and Peninsula (except far end) are all shaded. Mind you, during April May June and July, I can't sit out in it anyway, regards bkkrop

SGS is my favorite pool, but it's small and has limited sun later in the day, hence the water can be a bit brisk when you first get in. I enjoy hanging out in the Sala there with a cool adult beverage and a good book. Food is also good. And if you're a SPG Platinum or book a Grand Deluxe room, you can enjoy free drinks from 6-8pm. WGS gets a lot of afternoon sun, but it's pretty plain otherwise.
Sheraton Hua Hin looks like it has a nice pool. Sheraton Pattaya has several very nice pools.
