Looking for a hotel in Phuket

I am looking for a hotel in Phuket about the level of an Amari. The Amari beach resort is booked and only the jungle location is available. Any suggestions would like to stay under $100.00 USD a night. If not any opinions on the jungle location for the Amari? Never been to Phuket before. Looking for quieter activities. Think family activities. Thanks

When is your visit? Hotel prices take a huge jump in Dec.-Jan. time frame.

Hotel in Phuket

There are some on line sites that in the past have been really helpful, asiarooms.com is one of them. Just search for PHUKET HOTELS and you will have a ton of them to choose from. Prices, reviews, locations, the lot

Cape Panwa or Thavorn Beach Village

arriving in Phuket tomorrow. Nothing like leaving things to the end. Anyone have an opinion on either Cape Panwa or Thavorn Beach Village?
These are the ones on my short list.

Any thoughts on Indigo Pearl?

Will be in Phuket at the year end and this is one of the few properties that looks to be top end that has availability. Would be staying in a Plantation Villa.

Information however seems a bit thin on the ground...

Thanks

Marriott has just opened/is opening three Courtyards at Surin, Kamala and Patong: they look very good, are getting good reviews on TripAdvisor, and they've got promo rates for 3499 baht/night with breakfast for two, valid thru Dec (except the tippy-top of the Xmas/NY rush). Looking forward to my stay next month ^
