At the end of the week, I will know if I still love the Royal Orchid's evening buffet the best. We have really enjoyed it in the past. Better than the Oriental's. Tonight we ate in Chiang Mai at a restaurant across the street from the new Le Meridien. Their buffet did nothing for us but we hoped to be safe with freshly made food there. Hopefully, we are not hurting ourselves to save a little money. Poor Le Meridien put out a huge $30 buffet and I think 12 people finally dined there. Buffets worry me sometimes in the US but in a place like Thailand, the meat sitting out at room temp worries me.

During our recent week long stay at the Royal Orchid, we enjoyed the Thailand Tonight buffet twice -- actually it was included in our great hotel room package price from a german consolidator, Meiers Weltreisen. (It was included with each three night or more stay. So, I simply made two room reservations -- one for 3 nights and one for four nights. Also included was the breakfast buffet and a 500 Baht food & beverage voucher per person for each stay). We thought the buffet was excellent as well as the "show" that was included. Total price per room per night was 88
