Missing COE

Hi all,

Writing for a or a friend who is slated to travel JFK-DOH-BKK this Sunday (US Citizen).

He has met all the entry requirements (insurance, negative test and approved visa) however his COE has not come through via email.

He’s contacted the embassy and they’ve confirmed he has been approved entry to BKK. Still no COE has come through.

Trip up is, Qatar are stating despite the above, without the COE they will deny boarding.

Anyone have any intel on how to expedite getting the COE or anything else he can provide to board on Sunday?

Thank you!

I don't think your 'friend' will be able to board at JFK without the CoE.

"He’s contacted the embassy and they’ve confirmed he has been approved entry to BKK. Still no COE has come through."

Not sure what to make of this? Contacted? How? Confirmed? How? Obviously check Spam folder.

Maybe search through some FB groups? One example: Thailand Visa Advice - And Everything Else

Keep calling, staff are said to be working remotely at all hours.

Did see this post this week...

does the COE come at all by E-Mail?
I always thought it will have to be downloaded from the personal account on the COE registration page? where he can also check the status of his application...

Dunno.

First bullet on linked post sez:

COE is just through a email in PDF form (I assumed it would have to be mailed hence my panic)

so I assumed email. NYC Consul anyway.

Maybe there are different procedures with different conuls and embassies. YMMV.
