Are you saying, 1 megabit speed, unlimited data for AIS and 500 megabytes, "unlimited" speed for Zeed? Do you have to do a registration with your passport?

I think every SIM needs to be registered with a passport, or Thai national ID.

If fixed bandwidth suits your needs, and it does for most I'd imagine - I probably don't need the 130 Mbps download speed I get with DTAC - then you can save a few hundred baht. You'll just need to suss out the SIM, top-it up, find the proper codes and away you go.

Regarding the "traveling" SIMs: SIM2Fly (AIS), SIM Go Inter (DTAC) - these are purchased in Thailand for use in other countries - I think you can add this feature repeatedly to an existing AIS SIM2Fly SIM, or purchase a new standalone version, but maybe not with the DTAC version (now?) Both can be converted back to standard Thai SIMs when you return.

I saw a 7-11 on Thappraya soi 7 or so last night selling a SIM card to a Chinese bus tourist. It was going slowly with all parties not understanding anything the other was saying but they were selling a new DTAC sim.
