Transfer time at BKK
Hey all. So just finished booking almost all of our trip to Asia. We fly to BKK for 2 nights, then 7 nights in Phuket, back to BKK and home again. Our flight from BKK-CDG departs at 10:10 AM, and so im now looking at the options for tickets to and from BKK to Phuket.
Annoyingly it looks like there is only ONE flight from Phuket to BKK that would get in before our 10:10AM flight, and thats Thai Airways which arrives at 8:50. Would that leave us enough time? 1h20m to transfer. Not sure what the layout of BKK is like, if Thai Air flights land anywhere near where AF departs....

As long as the flight arrives on-time its doable as you clear Immigration and Security at Phuket. Bags are also checked to Final Destination at Phuket.
Its a 1km walk from Domestic Arrivals to AF Departure gates just don't waste time.

it looks like bangkok airways offers a daily from phuket to bangkok that arrives at 8:25, if you want a little more time. I've always used Bangkok airways for my domestic trips it's a nice airline for the quick trip.

Perfect. I was told that although the flight from phuket to bkk is blocked at 90 min, it generally takes closer to 60, so in theory we should have a bit more time. We are flying to BKK and back on one ticket and the BKK-phuket trip will be on another ticket. So we willneed to re-check bags either way i believe.

However I am fairly confident that as long as you check-in at The International Terminal 1 at Phuket, show both tickets and request for bags to be checked through to your AF Destination than that is the normal procedure.
I have never known Thai enforce Alliance separate check-ins as I believe they have an interline agreement with AF. https://www.thaiairways.com/en/Terms...e_partner.page
Bangkok Airways also have an Interline agreement with AF: : Bangkok Airways has Interline Traffic Agreements with international airlines such as All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Czech Airlines, Thai Airways International, and Swissair. Passengers can make Bangkok Airways’ flight reservations and purchase tickets through those airlines. The airline also has the codeshare agreement with Ethihad Airways, EVA Air, Air Berlin, KLM, Air France and Malaysian Air.
Then as I previously advised you will clear Immigration and security in Phuket and have a relatively quick connection in Bangkok.
