Free wifi? DMK or HKT?
Does Phuket airport or Don Mueang airports have free wifi? How reliable is it?
Basically I'm in a situation where I have to wait 3 hours at one of these airports (and want to do some work on my computer during that time), depending on the flight I choose.

It's available at both.
This article mentions upgrades due in April.

Mobile data (3G) may also be an option, maybe as little as as 100 ~ 200 baht, assuming you already have the necessary equipment (phone capable of tethering/hot-spot, or air-card).
I have complementary (free) WiFi in my mobile plan but rarely use it is often not as robust as my 3G.

Was at BKK and Phuket airports in January.
There's certainly no wifi in Phuket. Bangkok had some wifi in some places but it was hard to find and didn't always work.
I wouldn't count on wifi being free immediately and sometimes the wifi schemes give you a "ticket" for 30 minutes of free wifi. You usually have to put in a whole bunch of info like passport, etc.
Looks like 15 minutes at a time but u can re-login
