Absolutely.

You can also use the Rabbit Card on the blue city buses in Chiang Mai, if one goes to Chiang Mai. 20 THB per ride, air conditioned, free wifi on the bus.

Can't wait to visit the station at Sanam Chai, or Tha Phra...

Free MRT ride at 5 new stations for 2 months

Passengers will be allowed a free ride for two months on the MRT's new five-station stretch, starting July 29.

Pakapong Sirikantaramas, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority (MRTA) of Thailand governor, said on Thursday the Blue Line will provide a free service for passengers riding the train at five stations from Wat Mung Korn to Tha Phra during the two-month test run starting July 29.

What's the timeline for Dark Red, seeing as it's at 100%.

Bang Sue-Rangsit, so nine stations, October, 2020. But that's dependent on work at the big Bang Sue terminal, and delivery of Hitachi rolling stock (previewed in Japan already). So maybe 1H2021?

I think they may (ultimately) offer Express service from Bang Sue to DMK, who knows?

A transfer from the SARL - subway - dark red line for a transfer between the airports looks to be painful.

Wow, they're finally going to open the Chinatown stations? I wonder if it'll make any difference in the surface-road traffic.

(Plan to check it out next Tuesday; Monday is a holiday and will be crazy they say.)

FREE TEST RIDES ON MRT BLUE LINE THROUGH CHINATOWN BEGIN NEXT WEEK

BANGKOK — Going to Chinatown or Wat Pho will no longer be a hurdle when five new stations along the metro extension are opened to the public for test rides beginning next week.

The extension of the Blue Line MRT will stretch from the previous terminus at MRT Hua Lamphong to western suburbs in Bang Khae district. However, the test run will only run through five of the 11 stations along the extension, terminating at Tha Phra intersection in Bangkok Yai district.

Test rides will operate daily for free starting July 29, which is also the substitution for His Majesty the King’s birthday, until September 28, but will only run from 10am to 4pm. At MRT Hua Lamphong, passengers will have to transfer to another train to continue down the extension.

Richard Barrow was invited along to preview the new stations a couple of weeks ago and posted about them on his social media channels. Looks very nice indeed. But I'm glad I don't have to clean those light fixtures

Got a link? I've tried 4 of his channels, can't find it.

Here's a 45 minute long video though

Not sure why the links (that are there) don't show up in Yosi's post, but here they are:
