Phuket & Phi Phi island
Planning to spend 4 nights at Phuket/Phi Phi island. My itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 & 2: Holiday Inn Patong
Day 3: Catch the 8:30 ferry to Holiday Inn Phi Phi island. Arriving around 11:30, check-in then hiring a long-tail boat for 4-6 hours excursion.
Day 4: Relaxing at HI PP in the morning, then the 13:30 ferry back to Phuket, spend the night at HI Patong.
Day 5: Catch the afternoon flight to HKG.
Please let me know if there are any flaws in my plan. TIA.

Did similar itin two years ago. I stayed 2 nights at Patong which was more than enough for me and 2 nights in Phi Phi. It depends on personal tastes- Patong is VERY crowded and action packed (the hotel is across the street from the beach and pleasant) and HI Phi Phi is secluded and much more quiet, with not much to do beside laying on the beach.

OP's itin seems reasonable to me. We did a side trip to HKT from SIN a few years ago, 1 night at LM and 1 night sleeping on the beach at maya bay (just off phi phi). It was busy, OP's itin is far less so.

Going to Phi Phi leave most of your items at the Holiday Inn Patong in safekeeping.
Your transportation Patong to Phi Phi will be a minibus/boat transfer and will cost 600-700THB ROUND TRIP (don't pay more) per person. The minibus will pick you up at the hotel appx 07:00 (6:45-07:20).
I'm worried that your half day tour on Phi Phi may be a little late to enjoy fully. Thinking that you'll get to the hotel and checked in, then have to get back to Phi Phi village and hire a boat.
I would enjoy the day in Phi Phi, and consider moving the 1/2 day longtail boat to the following morning. Day 4 check out of HI PP, take your overnight bag with you (locked, of course) along with you on your 1/2 day before the 13:30 boat back to Phuket.

Thanks alot guys for all of your great advice! One more question, do all of the longtail boats provide lifejackets for snorkling? One of the group members doesn't know how to swim.
