Phuket in Jan 2013
I have a friend that has invited me to meet her at the Ko Surin National Marine Park. From what I have found the ferry to the island is about an hour north of Phuket. I have tried to get there using AA or ONEWORLD and have not been terribly successful. I have never been in that part of the world and would like to visit Western Australia (Darwin, Broome) while in that hemisphere, either coming or going. I would be originating in the BWI/DCA/IAD area or could easily get to EWR or JFK. Suggestions please! Thanks in advance.

Yeah, MH would be useful, but I think it's November when they're tipped to join OW so I guess it's an unknown quantity regarding their availability.
Another option would I believe be Air Berlin, if you head across Europe, but their HKT timetable doesn't seem to be out for Jan '13 yet.
(PS Darwin isn't in WA, it's the Northern Territories, but with no direct flights to Broome from Singapore, you'll probably have to go via Darwin anyway...)
