LAX-BKK on TG

Hi!

I will be flying from LAX-BKK on TG in July on Y class. Heard horror stories about this sector (bad aircraft, service etc). I usually fly SQ so this my first time on TG. What should I expect (or not expect )?

Also, any chance for upgrade to biz class for a SQ Elite Silver? (*A Silver)

Thanks

The language is Thai but you can still see the pictures.

Since you are only *A Silver, I really doubt you will be upgraded even though you hold a Y Class Ticket. If you held a TG Gold Card, then that can be another story.

Was there any reasons why you bought a Y ticket for this flight? Was it really your only way to get the tickets?

Sorry! I guess I should have been clearer. I bought an economy class ticket from a consolidator (cheap fares). I believe the fare class is "H". I am going on a personal trip and wanted to get the cheapest fare

If you are holding an H class ticket, then definitely NO UPGRADE, not even TG Gold Member (unless flight is super overbooked).

The oldest F config is on this route with 18 seats (744).

Many posters on F-talk have rated Y class on Thai as a decent way to fly. The major complaints are about their C-Class product. There is no AVOD in Y on this route (unlike SQ), but the seat pitch is better than most airlines. Service and food should be fairly comparable to SQ.
