Domestic to international at HKT (BKK-HKT-FRA)

Domestic to international at HKT (BKK-HKT-FRA)
I just booked my flight from Bangkok to Frankfurt on TG (J):
BKK-HKT TG205 09:30-10:55
HKT-FRA TG926 12:50-19:05
Can anybody inform me about the procedures at BKK and HKTHKT, e.g.
- Check in BKK: domestic or international?
- Baggage: checked through to FRA or collect/re check in at HKT?
- CIQ handling?
Never had a flight home from BKK via another Thai airport
before. Forum posts concentrate on connections at BKK.

I took the same connection one month ago in the other direction.
no problem at all. just got off the plane in HKT, followed BKK connection sign, got a special sticker, did one more security check and waited at the gate. Luggage was checked through of course and kept the same seat number.
