Flying in F, departing in J the next day, F lounge access?

Hi guys, quick question.

I'm flying in Sydney-Bangkok on First class and Bangkok-KL on business class on the next day in one PNR. There's no same day connecting flight to KL. In that case, do I get to use the Thai first class lounge? If yes, will it be on day of arrival or day of departing? Thanks.

if you leave airport upon arrival you will neither get access to BKK F Lounge on the day of arrival nor on the day of departure
you will get F lounge access if you stay in transit upon Arrival (it does not matter, whether later you will leave airside to stay at a Hotel)

Thanks.

So I could actually get to the F lounge on arrival, have some refreshment, massage, then leave the airport for city centre hotel stay?

yes if your luggage is checked through or you have only carry ons (otherwise you have to go after Arrival through immigration and pick up your luggage)
you will get picked up at the gate from your F flight; then tell the escort that you would like to stay airside. Later you tell the F Lounge staff, that you changed your mind and want to go landside, they will bring you to immigration

I don't know if this is still the case, but a few years ago they were charging an extra tax for doing this. Around $20 iirc. Something to do with different tax rates for transfer pax and you being treated differently if you go landside. It's not a huge amount, but worth bearing in mind. I was departing in F and I paid it at the F-check in.

This would be the THB700 (USD 20) 'departure' tax which could legitimately be asked for when checking back in after going land-side since this will not have been included in the ticket costs. Many report that it is not collected if you hold the BP for the departing sector from Bangkok, and simply avoid the checkin desk -YMMV.
