TG600 1A and 1K blocked?

I'm flying TG600 in F in April. 1A and 1K are blocked, and can only be assigned at the airport.

I had a previous reservation that had 3 flights on 747's in F, and 1A and 1K weren't blocked on any of them.

Any reason this specific flight has these two seats blocked? Any particular way to get them unblocked?

Thx!

Which day in Apr and I'll look on EF to see of they are allocated or just blocked.

edited to add. A quick check of the first week in Apr shows that 1A/K and 3F/K routinely appeared blocked. I suggest you email THAI.

If flying solo, they are too close together for my taste. Much prefer 2A/K. If two traveling together, then nevermind

I flew in F on TG606 in mid Jan. My 1A seat was reserved by calling the local reservation centre.

I agree, 2A/K are my favorite seats. Could 1A/K possibly be held for a VIP? On BA, for example, these seats are often allocated this way to ensure privacy.

Or maybe they are held for a TIP who intends to be "upgraded"

Is that possible?

probably... just read a news article about a TIP who was demanded to be upgraded, claiming she had "connections" with top TG execs. article was published a long time ago though so no idea what it's like these days.

Was she demanding this at the time of boarding? Seems strange... if she really had "connections" to top TG executives, why was she on a cheap Y fare and trying to "upgrade" herself?

Flying in F on TG, I have seen "mysterious" pax appear and sit in unoccupied seats for the entire flight, but then they disappear before arrival. I've never known if they were deadheading crew, or so called TIPs. Often I see pilots use F seats to rest, but that is not what I am referring to.

It never has bothered me, because I have noticed that the FAs give priority to those of us actually ticketed in F, before attending to whoever these other people are.

Is it possible that TIPs would return to their assigned seats before landing?
