Accessing lounge in transit then going to airport hotel

Hi - I land in BKK at 3pm ( my journey is in F) I would like to spend a little time in the F lounge ie: go through the transit checkpoint and then exit the airport through immigration to stay at an airport hotel, my flight in F eaves early the next morning? Is this possible as I cannot seem to work out where you could access immigration from where all the lounges and shops are.

thanks

yes! you say to the escort that you would like to stay in transit. you will be brought to the F Lounge (if you have Boarding pass for next flight or itinerary); then later you indicate to the Lounge staff, that you would like to go landside to Hotel and they will bring you through immigration

recently yes with the small difference that I stayed airside during the night; but it was also Arrival the day before departure and they wanted to escort me to immigration upon Arrival, which I denied and went to F lounge
but I am sure there are people on this board, who did exactly the same as you intend to do recently

For me, it was four years ago - does that count?

Flew from Frankfurt to Bangkok, arrived 0700, re-screened at transit security, taken to F lounge where we had a shower and then a light breakfast. Left our hand carry with the staff and was then escorted/assisted out through immigration. Caught the train into the city and came back around 1600 for our massages and 1900 departure.

There is a pretty nice Novotel at BKK, next to terminal - should make the early morning departure a little easier...

what do you think should be the problem? relax!
and tell the escort that you want to stay in transit. Once in F, you can anytime leave, tell them that you changed your mind and leave through normal Arrival.
do you have a pick up from Hotel at the Airport?

There is also a Louis Tavern hotel (or at least hotel rooms) located airside at BKK. Checking prices last time it was about the same price as the Novotel per night (USD150 or so?). That would allow you to stay in the F lounge as long as you like, sleep for a few hours in a bed, then head to the F lounge first thing in the morning. No need to worry about immigration, taxis or anything else. *Note there is a small chance that if you are on a through ticket, you could be asked to pay the departure tax of THB700 when you try to re-enter the airport after your stay in BKK. The Louis Tavern option would avoid this.)

All things said, the Fcl is not somewhere I'd really want to go to all the extra hassle to visit... by the time you get there and settle in you could be half way to your hotel in the city. The champagne isn't as good in the lounge as you have on board, and the food is much much better 'on the outside' than in the lounge. The only advantage is a massage, but again those are much better outside the lounge.
