So here we are, more than one month after the aborted launch date of the Platinum Plus level , and absolutely no news from TG.
Am I the only one starting to have a bad feeling about it ?

Now , almost 3 months after the planned start and absolutely no news from TG???
If they are going to scrap this thing, as a bad feeling I have tells me, they should let us know.
In any case , it doesn't take any professional , well managed company 3 months to review the benefits of a new top tier FF program .
Would Solitaires' PPS or NH Diamonds' put up with so much incompetence ?

Almost 4 months and still counting .
I do not mind if TG scraps this thing. Just tell me.
I need to know , because I need to decide whether or not to fly TG 6 times a year to Europe in F , or switch to QR . That's all .

Shades of the Elite Card
Well, at least they are not asking you for a million baht for some kind of Elite Card like what Thailand offered in the heady Thaksin days. Not much left of that program now.

Don't hold your breath.....
Uh-oh, in speaking just now with a senior and very reliable source within TG, I was informed that the Platinum Plus Program has been 'frozen' until the new Director of the Loyalty Marketing Department (Khun Aran Apichari's replacement) becomes more familiar with the role.
Not sure how long this familiarisation process will take (five months is obviouly not enough) but apparently his lack of action is already being talked about in the TG corridors of power.....

A bit of information that probably doesn't mean anything...I called the MNL office and got the ARS system and they had one option for "Royal Silk, Gold, or Platinum members". I called the same number prior to that about two months ago and don't recall hearing "Platinum" in that option. Probably just someone in MNL who didn't get the memo that Platinum is presently on hold, but who knows, maybe there's been some recent internal decision made and they jumped the gun in MNL.

Also possible that it's a secret club where the memberships are handed out to VIPs. This is more in line with traditional Thai behavior, benefits by association that trump even the loyal customers. Just a passing thought...
