Dallas 4th of July Weekend?

What is it to do in Dallas during the 4th of July weekend? Anything going on?

Lots of fireworks, on both the 3rd and the 4th; just about every city around here puts on their own show.

Willie's bringing his 4th of July picnic up to Ft. Worth this year.

Some listings here:

Bringing an old thread back to life. I am in Dallas from July 2 - July 5 going to some Rangers games but I wanted to see if there were any good fireworks shows that weekend. My girlfriend loves fireworks and its a compromise for her sitting through 3 games! I've heard Kaboom Town in Addison is good. Anything else?

You'll almost certainly see fireworks at the ballpark following the Rangers Game (check their website to confirm.

Kaboom Town is pretty good by DFW standards, but be forewarned, if you're coming from NYC, nothing you see in North Texas will come close to what Macys puts on every year.

There are good fireworks in Garland, and Flower Mound, and Lake Grapevine.

Garland has canceled Star Spangled Fourth for budget reasons.

Lone Star Park (horse racing) in Grand Prairie (about 10 miles W of downtown Dallas off I-30) usually does two nights of fireworks.
