Transfer between Hobby and Intercontinental Airports

Hi, I wasnt sure where to post this. I have a co-worker that is planning a trip and it looks like they need to transfer between the two airports in Houston. Just wondering how difficult or easy that is and what is the best way to do it? Thanks for any information.

With the distance involved (and with sports stadium tax surcharges that make the cost of a rental very high), a shuttle or a taxi might be the best option.

For one-way curb-to-curb service: Shuttle fares are around $24.00 from IAH to HOU. Taxis are flat-zoned at $51. Gratuities are not included.

More information at the Houston Airport System's pages:

depending upon how long they have, there is bus service from both airports to downtown, and bus service from downtown to both airports. The bus from IAH gets to HOU in 11 stops. IIRC, the 101 gets you from IAH to HOU in about 1.5 hours + or -...

Express Shuttle USA, for $24 each way between IAH and HOU, is probably the best bet. Depending on the timing of the arrivals and departures, this can be a very slow trip with a lot of traffic congestion. I hope your co-worker is not planning on spending time between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. or 4:15 to 7:00 p.m. on a weekday on I-45.
