Porter/Concierge service at IAH for international flights?

Dear all,

The Mrs has to travel with our 1yo from DEL to IAH. Any advice on how to manage luggage pick up from the belt and clear customs? It will be challenging as she will have baby in arms. Are there porter/concierge services she can look for? Anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers!

1000's of people travel by themselves with a baby/toddler every day
Ask the airport or your airline (QR?)

All airport-related threads belong to the destination fora on FT.

I believe you'll find more helpful info on IAH in our Texas Forum, especially check out this master thread:

As for advices on traveling with a baby, there's another informative forum:

Welcome to the Texas forum! It appears that your thread was moved here.

I've never used them, but it appears that there is a VIP service available (for purchase) at IAH:
ARRIVAL SERVICE— Royal Airport Concierge's Arrival meet and assist makes entry into Houston International Airport (IAH) seamless. Our expert greeters will meet you at the aircraft or the air bridge carrying identifying signs. They will then provide porter service at baggage claim. Our greeter will also facilitate contact with the driver waiting for you outside the airport, arrange a meeting point and escort you and your group to the transportation vehicle of your choice.
  1. Exclusive one-to-one service
  2. Meet and greet at the gate
  3. Fast-track through immigration and customs (for available airlines)
  4. Assistance with luggage collection
  5. Porter service
  6. Escort to your transportation

You can find more information on this website:

Will your wife be renting/hiring a vehicle, or looking for transportation from the airport as well?
