how to search on FT mobile site?
I can't find a way to search FlyerTalk on the mobile site. There's a preference option to show a certain number of search results, but I just can't find the actual search option.
Where is it?
And another thing -- do other people find that the preferences for showing a certain number of posts at once per screen are not "sticky", despite what you choose in your preferences. I want the maximum number of posts per page (30) but it keeps defaulting back to a smaller number, and truncating posts when I asked it not to do so.
By the way, I'm using an iPhone. Can we hope in the near future to see a more appropriately designed site for the iPhone in particular?

It's not, for me at least. Can you post a screenshot of how your view of the mobile site appears?

On the Mobile site, there is a search feature (doubt it works well, I've never used it) on the upper right corner of the screen. That button takes you to the bottom of the screen - I don't know what you'd search, btw but give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Thank you to those who drew this to our attention. I'm going to move it over the Technical Issues forum, where it will be more properly on topic.

As confirmation that you aren't going crazy or blind salut0 I'll chime in that I am unable to find the Search link either.
I've notified the tech team about this issue ... they or I will post updates as they become available.
As for an iPhone-designed site, I don't think there are any plans in the immediate pipeline for development, but one never knows.
Also, FWIW, unless there is a specific reason why you prefer the mobile version of FT over the standard version when viewing on the iPhone, I might recommend you visit the standard site. And if you're stuck in 3G land and are experiencing slow connection speeds, you might even try the Archive section.

Mikel, thanks for the reply. I don't always use the mobile site but it is much easier to read when on the move at an airport. The line length of the standard site can be a bit long for the iPhone; hence I prefer the mobile site (caveats mentioned above excepted).
An iPhone app might not be hard to make: perhaps FT could be accessible from an existing forum reader iphone app, if such a thing exists?
(edited to add: I see there is such an application, called "Forums". But it gets terrible reviews on the AppStore. And it costs $10. Could Flyertalk and some other forums get together to make a free one instead?)

Salut0 - there are far more blackberry and winmo users in the world than iphone users. Asking ft to go platform specific is not in the cards. That being said, all 3 platforms + ft support rss feeds. I recommend searching out a good rss reader and testing it out.

fwiw, truncation=off and threads=30 is not working for my mobile browsers (iPhone & G1). Is this a known bug?
