tonerman May 11, 2009 10:52 pm

Using firefox

This is past the point of being ridiculous. Can someone explain what is going on and when it will be fixed?

FlyMan May 11, 2009 11:04 pm

Well, it seems this happens only in the evenings...to me.

Yes this is what I want to know also ? I attempted to get on here right after midnight Eastern last night & AGAIN was forced to give up.

rittenhousesq May 12, 2009 10:05 pm

Another midnight has passed and again the text goes white. I guess the owners of this site have decided they don't want any visitors after midnight.

HereAndThere May 12, 2009 10:06 pm

The problem is back again. Worked normally for a time and now is suddenly absent the blue headers, etc. Hard to find this thread even because of the missing text.
Why can't someone address this issue and explain what is going on?????????

MikeMpls May 12, 2009 10:08 pm

Day 6, same thing again.

If this were happening on one of my vBulletin boards, I'd probably have had it fixed by day 2.

us2 May 12, 2009 10:15 pm

Here we go again...

AndyTLe May 12, 2009 10:17 pm

This is getting old. Other than the initial response by a moderator, it would be nice if ANYBODY from FT or Internet Brands would say something, ANYthing.

Obviously whatever site maintenance that was scheduled for last night didn't solve this problem.

Indeed. This has been going on for a week or so.

"Magic Ink"

If you roll over the links, your cursor responds, and if you click, they show and work.

I think this thread should be renamed.

Interesting that the links in the banner ad above are still apparent. And there's no banner ad down the right margin. I do appreciate not having the right banner ad obscuring the first five inches of my and the immediately previous commenter's comment.

Oh, no! I can't see it at all. :(

Just do a right mouse click & "Select All".

I was sending a friend some info on ITA search syntax & wanted to throw in links to the MR fora but decided tonight was not a good night to push FT.

"There's a board should try for info, but it's acting kind of sucky right now. If you can't read anything, try dragging your cursor over the whole monitor & see what shows up ...."

Come on, guys. PHP & CSS are established technologies, not rocket science.

andymo99 May 12, 2009 10:48 pm

This is maddening.

MatthewLAX May 13, 2009 1:03 am

For me, the problem is only happening on my Mac.

No problems on my PC at work today [again], but a lot of problems this evening on my Mac.

As an alternate you can also depress the "control" or "command" button and the "a" button at the same time.

I've noticed a couple of times, I get to a particular page and you can see the blue hyperlinks for a split second, then they turn white.

Most of the time though, you don't see the links at all (after midnight)

FOH May 14, 2009 12:42 am

FWIW this isn't happening to me tonight in Firefox 3. Of course it could be a fluke but maybe it's fixed...

MatthewLAX May 16, 2009 8:22 pm

No problems the last two days!

MatthewLAX May 21, 2009 2:34 pm

It's back--or should I say gone! :(

First time it has happened in a week.

MatthewLAX May 25, 2009 1:43 pm

And the text has disappeared again.

Was it ever determined what causes this?

JonathanIT Jun 17, 2009 12:27 pm

I think it's happening to me again... I'm getting missing text on a lot of pages.

PTravel Jun 17, 2009 12:32 pm

It's been happening to me this morning, too.

Mikel at Webflyer Jun 17, 2009 1:24 pm

The tech team has pinpointed the culprit and is in the process of repair. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Who is the culprit? Will he get a ride in Randy's RV? ;)

rjque Jul 6, 2009 12:49 pm

Happened again this morning.

b1513 Jul 6, 2009 4:28 pm

Happening currently on OMNI/PR.

SeAAttle Jul 13, 2009 6:48 pm

Happened to me a day or so ago, but it seemed to be only page 2. Pages 1 and 3 onwards were fine (at least as far as I went). I think it was OMNI/PR.

MatthewLAX Jul 14, 2009 11:22 pm

No problems for me on both my Apple and PC.
