Royal Caribbean flash ads killing performance

In the last few days, I've been getting this "Royal Caribbean" skyscraper ad (static version) with animated rippling water under the boat, and it's absolutely murdering my PC -- one tab with the ad open slows my system to a crawl, and more than 3 bring it to a grinding halt. Disabling Flash resolves the problem nicely, but can FT block it from their DoubleClick ads?

Maybe that is why I am having problems. How do you disable flash?

I was having the same problems, an OMNI thread provided answers to solve my problems. I seriously thought my computer was about to crash.

IE7 Pro certainly took care of the ad problem

I noticed the Royal Caribbean ad causing problems earlier this week.

Now I'm not seeing any ads at all. I had previously modified my hosts file and a few got thru. Now they're all gone ^^
