Why I am not able to type in capital letters?

When I post a thread in CC I type "AA" in the title and it becomes small caps. today I typed this thread and LHR-BOM and BRU-BLR became small caps.

Typing anything without lowercase letters will cause this (happens in both the title and the body of the post), since all caps is generally considered yelling. To prevent this, just work a lowercase letter into the field in the future.
