Smilies issue

When I try to add smilies that involve a capital letter it shows up on the forum after I've posted as a 'd' as opposed to a 'D' so my biggrin smilies don't work. Even when I click on the smilies they still get 'processed' as lower case.

I tried it with Google Chrome and IE 7.0 and get the same result.

Thanks

Did your post only have capital letters in it? FT reverts posts and titles that are "shouting"?

It looks like that is the case here?

Yes, that still seems to be the case. Mikel, any fix in sight?

Looks like it's working to me. Is everyone else seeing my big grin?

if all you do is your trademark

^

then your upper case gets converted into lower case automatically as the software wont' allow shouty posts anymore.

Same as with thread titles. No more all caps, which is usually fine unless someone starts it with VS UC LGW-TAB Q! where it becomes vs uc lgw-tab q instead (as I had something like that recently on VS).

Sorry for not replying back, I'd forgotten I made the post until today when a list of airport codes went awry and I came back looking. Thanks for letting me know

I had the same issue today. It converted everything to lowercase and would continue to do so even after I tried to edit it in the regular mode or the advanced mode.
