Could be. I just tried going over my limit (to see if it would reset to 2500), and nope... I got an error message on message #501. If it's post-count related, I've got quite a ways to go...

Mine changed to 2500 at least 40 hours ago. Noticed it when sending some PM's on Thu night my time, but thought it was the standard for everyone now.
After reading this thread, can't see rhyme, reason or anything else as to why. I am an 'ad free Flyertalk' subscriber though.
