Search requires 4 words? but then doesn't work

I've been getting error messages saying search requires a minimum of 4 words (new?) BUT the really strange thing is that I've been searching on 4 or more words.
So is search not working - or what am I doing wrong?

minimum word length (4)
Is one of your words less than 4 characters? Each word needs 4 characters. The minimum length of a word is 4 characters.

You can do a search for only one word. But, each word in the search must be at least four characters. If you are trying to search for a 3-letter word (or airport code), you can use the wildcard "*" for the fourth character (ATL*).

Alternatively, try using the Google flyertalk search.

thanks

so my problem was that each word wasn't four letters eg le meridien bora bora. Unfortunately the wildcard doesn't seem to work so I guess I am stuck with the google search - frustrating

Actually, the beta search feature, which is located just below the standard search area on the Advanced Search page allows you to search for terms less than four characters in length. It's still in development, but it likely will provide better results than the Google option.

Hope this is helpful.
