Delayed posting

Hi, I've been lurking for several weeks and just joined yesterday. I notice when I submit my post, the posting is not posted instantly. When I check several hours later, the timestamp is correct but other people posting seems to be posted instantly. Is it because I'm still a new member?

edit: It seems it work fine now, Is it only happen on the first day?

Depending on your first post, it may post immediately or may go into a queue until a moderator approves it.

Without looking, I am betting you had a link in your first post.

That gets flagged... as that is what many spammers do on their first post.

You should not be seeing a delay anymore.

I fell into that trap, too. My account is about 12 hours old and one of the two posts I made had two links (to other FT threads) in it. Since then, I can't even see my replies to existing threads.

It's an important feature though. I have seen other forums who dont use captchas and reduced privileges for newbies and they are usually full of spambots which can really ruin the whole experience.
