Viewing my threads

Is there a way I can do a search that shows posts only to certain threads? I posted to the voluntary rules thread and I don't need to see everyone say "I Agree", so is there a way I can find threads I have posted to except certain pointless ones?

Under the quick links menu (up by the logout and search buttons) you will find links to your posts and to your threads.

Yes I know of those functions, but I would like to know if I can use but select certain threads in way that they do not show up when i do a search.

No, I don't think there is a way to exclude particular threads per user for result sets.

Sometimes selecting 'view as posts' (bottom-left of the 'advanced' page) is helpful in knocking down the clutter -- assuming you can recall why you said what you did

I sometimes will limit it by searching only for threads I have posted to in the last month, or last 2 weeks, assuming that will increase relevance. I don't think there is a way to exclude certain threads otherwise.

For some reason lately, when someone responds to one of my posts, I no longer see an indication about it when I look at my past posts under my profile. Yet when I open the thread, I see there has been many responses. Any way to make the envelope appear with a "note" in it again to indicate I have a response?

You can get around that issue by doing an "advanced search" for your threads and showing "threads", not "posts". You can see who the last person to post on the thread was, and when they posted.
