Forum question: how do you search for numbers
Maybe I am an idiot, but I cannot get search results using the search function for either numbers (eg 763) or letters (eg LGW) although words (eg London) do generate results. Am I doing something wrong?

I think there is a 4 character minimum.

Even if you were able to search for just '763', your results would include about every third thread started in this forum since 1998 (or however far back a search can go).

But if I want to search for posts about 763 flights to LGW, as I do, which should not be terribly burdensome, I get nothing.

I also think the minimum is four characters. Can anyone confirm officially?

This is correct, if you need to make a 3 letter search you can do it via the google search though:
