T Mobile Dash and FT

Just got a T Mobile Dash. I love it. The only issue I've had so far that has been a problem is loading FT. There is a H U G E blue banner at the top of every page that requires me to scroll down for nearly 10 seconds to get to the page. This wastes time and wears on my battery a bit too. I've tried different settings on it but the BBB (Big Blue Banner) is always there. I've already chosen to not load pictures but it's still there.

Is there a PDA version of FT?

Any other suggestions?

If you are using Pocket IE, use a registry editor on the phone to make the change below, exactly as it appears. mobile.flyertalk.com will now work.

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Internet Settings

Create a new String Value in the Internet Settings key called "Accept Header" (don't include quotes)

The value is:
application/xhtml+xml, */*

Reboot phone

This does not sem to work for me...

Using PHM Registry Editor I...
1) Enter "HKEY_LOCAL_MAC..."
2. "SOFTWARE"
3)"Microsoft"
4)"Windows"
5)"CurrentVersion"
6)"Internet Settings"
7) Menu->New Key...write"Accept Header"
8)Menu->New Value
9)Value Name: New Value #!
10) application/xhtml+xml, */*
11) reboot phone

...this does not seem to work. Any suggestions? I'm using a T-Mobile Dash.

Another option is to install Opera on your phone, it should work with the site without any tweaks necessary once installed.

It's another option... but it would be much easier to have a phone work with its defaults. Is it the DASH or is it FT? (You'd think IE would work no matter where it is... oh wait, it's Microsoft).

If you go directly to mobile.flyertalk.com you should not have to deal with the Big Blue Banner anymore, it is formatted for mobile phones .

Thanks, but that's still the problem... on the Dash it says that our browser is not compatible with mobile.ft.com, and then shows us the regular FT site. This is IE, FWIW... whatever the Windows Mobile version is.

Question: Does the top blue bar/menu have a bunch of "image" placeholders?
