Cant view FT!
Hi all
A couple of weeks ago I lost all ability to view any FT forum webpages. I can see the home page, and on forum pages it loads the flyertalk logo very very slowly and then nothing else. I've got no problems with any other website, and it loads fine with my laptop, its just my desktop with the issue.
I started to try to fix the prob by deleting all cache and temp files and history. This didnt work. So then I uninstalled IE and reinstalled the latest version (V7), but still cant load FT forum pages.
Any advice?
Ta

I yesterday I unistalled Norton and installed ZoneAlarm on both machines. My broadband goes into the wireless router then wireless to my laptop and cable to my desktop.
Hence the firewall settings are same on both computers yet it works on one not the other. I dont have the problem on any other forum sites.

have you tried another browser, maybe firefox or opera? If one of these works then it could be an internet explorer setting(ie keeps these settings even after a reinstall). Let me know if one of these works. Also I did not notice if you tried to turn off your firewall on your desktop (under control panels).

I use ZoneAlarm, and hence the Windows firewall is permanently switched off. When I shutdown ZA presumably that means that there is no firewall.
I tried again just now and for some reason for the first time in weeks, it works (except for the banner ads, which in my view is an improvement!).
Maybe its because i dont usually try at this time of day, but cant imagine thats the issue. I havent done anything else different.
